This photo is from my grandfather’s album. This is Gail Patterson with the winning float at Heidelberg College’s Color Day in 1927.

It took a lot of hard work to build this float, but it won first prize.
Gail was a happy Girl the day she drove “The Best of All Floats” through the streets of Tiffin.
Too bad color photos hadn’t been invented yet!
